Welcome.

This is a blog for my personal design practice. Lately I have been getting quite a lot of design offers, so I decided to create a blog where I could develop and update all the work that's going on outside college. It's also a good opportunity for my clients to stock the development and the research. So it's basically so called 'behind the scenes' with Designer Greta Madline.

[me] I just introduced You to todays brief. I don't have too much time to work on it but I'll try my best, because the band really needs the poster. So I'll start with some research and then move on  idea development.

The first question is WHO is/was Herbie Mann?

[answer]

Herbert Jay Solomon (April 16, 1930 – July 1, 2003),better known as Herbie Mann, was an American jazz flutist and important early practitioner of world music

Mann emphasized the groove approach in his music. Mann felt that from his repertoire, the "epitome of a groove record" was Memphis Underground or Push Push, because the "rhythm section locked all in one perception."

[me] of course don't forget to enjoy the design
process with some good jazzy music.

Wow, this guy was really provocative. Though as his music this picture is sexy.I'm not sure why did they use such a hippie typeface.
Not approve .

Some more facts about Herbie Mann:

Herbie Mann died on Tuesday, July 1, 2003.
The cause was prostate cancer. He was 73 years old.

So I was thinking to use a pattern, a simple grid and a interesting layout. Because I need to make it playful but intelligent at the same time. So it would look as a professional designer work.
